Manuel Zarate

As the Founder and President of HBMG, Manuel Zarate, has more than 20 years experience in the field of systems integration, workflow analysis, communications, and the arts. Manuel has negotiated contracts, managed projects, and worked in direct support of the following notable clients: Accenture, HDR, Fluor, Atkins, AT&T, Sprint, Northrop Grumman, IBM, Raytheon, Navy, TxDOT, Parsons Brinkerhoff, Zachry, Cintra, Jacobs, Texas Public Utility Commission, Sears, Texas Division of Information Resources, Texas Department of Health and Human Services and others. He has served as the Senior Information Technology Project Manager and adviser for numerous projects nationwide and has led the development of project control systems on some of the largest construction projects in the country.

Manuel is considered an entrepreneur and creative visionary. His multi-media experience has revealed the potential of communication using technology to create one-on-one experiences amplified millions of times over using the web.

He is also a playwright, photographer and poet of note. His work on the relationship between non-profits and profits had lead to the development of different funding models. In 2004, he established the HBMG Foundation to support the development of creativity and innovation in arts, technology and business. The foundation has advised and mentored hundreds of creative entrepreneurs. He has served as a mentor, and continues to serve as an advocate for creativity as a chief economic driver and foundation for America’s role in the global economy.

Manuel has evangelized the concept that America’s borders are no longer defined by a map, but by the reach of its technology. He is a guest speaker at many events and speaks on the role of creativity and technology in our society.
